Busy schedules, international families
Families in the UAE often juggle long commutes, after-school activities and travel during the summer. Online lessons remove the journey to a class and let you keep the same teacher even when you travel home for the holidays, as long as you have a stable connection.
Gulf Standard Time all year
The UAE uses Gulf Standard Time all year, with no daylight saving. Lessons are booked in UAE time and stay at the same local time throughout the year.
Keeping learning going over the summer
Many expatriate families spend part of July and August abroad. You can continue lessons from another country in your new local time, reduce them to fewer days a week, or pause them. Tell us in advance and we plan around your travel.
Children who learn in several languages
Children in the UAE are often learning English, Arabic and a home language at the same time. A one-to-one teacher can go at the child's own pace, building reading from the letters rather than assuming knowledge from school Arabic lessons.
What parents can expect
Lessons are one-to-one and delivered through our own MAKTAB learning platform. Every lesson is supervised and recorded, and parents of children receive a monthly PDF progress report.

Watch
Quran Reading
Noorani Qaida with Tajweed, Lesson 1: The Single Letters (Mufradat), Part A
The first video in our Noorani Qaida series. It introduces the single Arabic letters (Mufradat) one at a time, the very first step towards reading the Quran, and gives parents and beginners a clear feel for how our teachers explain each stage before you book a free trial. Parents can watch it with their child to see what the very first stage of reading looks like and how letters are introduced one by one. In live lessons the same first stage is taught one-to-one, with the teacher listening to the learner and correcting pronunciation straight away, so mistakes do not become habits. When the single letters are secure, learners move on to joined letters, vowel marks and, in time, fluent Quran reading.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Can my child keep the same lessons while we travel in the summer?
Yes, if you have a stable internet connection. We can move lessons to your new local time, reduce them, or pause them while you are away.
Do you schedule lessons at weekends in the UAE?
Yes. Saturday and Sunday mornings are popular with UAE families, alongside after-school weekday slots.
My child studies Arabic at school. Do they still need Noorani Qaida?
The trial teacher checks the child's reading level. Some children can move straight to Quran reading, others benefit from strengthening the letters first.
